Position Summary

COIT Cleaning & Restoration Services is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented individual to join our work family as a Restoration Specialists. Restoration Specialists work in homes and business that have been damaged by water, mold, or weather. They extract water, clean or remove carpet, repair structures that have been damaged by mold, decontaminate and deodorize a space, and remove debris. Technicians will be responsible for building lasting relationships with our customers while assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved, cleaning damaged properties, removing and replacing damaged materials, and sanitizing and restoring homes and businesses so they can return to normalcy.

We will provide you with hands on PAID training. A company vehicle to travel to customers within the territory, and company phone will be provided following training. Most work will be performed in teams to ensure completion of all work orders are on time and completed.

Restoration Specialists Responsibilities:

  • Acquire basic background and knowledge in water damage and restoration, extraction, containment, and mold.
  • Develop the understanding of technical construction skills, including, but not limited to: drywall, doors, windows, flooring, trim, cabinets, paint, roofing, siding, plumbing, framing, etc.
  • Develop knowledge of cleaning equipment and removal procedures.
  • Earn certifications in various areas of expertise needed to work in the field.
  • Adhere to personal safety standards by wearing the appropriate protective gear and using the right equipment.
  • Understand and utilize all company software to assist in completion of job tasks.
  • Assess damaged properties to see what can be saved.
  • Cleaning and storing damaged property until they can be returned to the home.
  • Removing damaged materials, such as wallboards and wood material.
  • Handling any issues caused by water damage, including drying out the area and removing mold.
  • Sanitizing structural features that can be saved.
  • Explain job specifications and progress on each work order.
  • Duties will include response to emergency water damage claims and other restoration-related activities including initial job-site inspection, secure jobs fast, and perform structural drying per the IICRC standards.

Restoration Specialists Requirements:

  • Have strong customer service skills and handle challenging situations in a professional manner and able to make a good first impression with customers.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Have strong communication, listening, and math skills.
  • Must have the ability to use and knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and on call.
  • Willing to learn various cleaning techniques to include but not limited to carpet, wood, tile and grout, upholstery, natural stone, concrete, HVAC / air ducts, and restoration
  • IICRC certifications desired: WRT, ASD and AMRT
  • Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to, but not limited to, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Valid Driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record check. Background Check/Drug screen
