Burlingame, California, July 1, 2003- COIT Services Inc., a fifty-three year old specialty cleaning company, announced that it has acquired Superior Cleaning and Restoration, a sixty-five year old Seattle-based fire and water damage remediation contractor. Superior has been cleaning and restoring residential and commercial establishments since 1938 and is the largest privately owned and operated cleaning company in the greater Seattle area. Coit is America's oldest and largest drapery, carpet, upholstery and air duct cleaners with many locations around the country, including Seattle. Combined, the companies offer a fleet of over 50 service vehicles, 28 truck mounted extractors, hundreds of dehumidifiers, air movers and other specialty equipment as well as over twenty-five thousand square feet of office and warehouse space. "The acquisition allows both companies to bring services in-house that had previously been sub-contracted" says Larry Weinberg, former owner and current President of Superior Cleaning and Restoration.
